Abstract Guidelines


Call for Abstracts

We extend a warm invitation to all presenters to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations on topics relevant to the symposium theme. Prospective authors are invited to submit an abstract of no more than 500 words. Abstracts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format through the online system on this website. The abstract should be written in English and include the paper title, author name(s), affiliation(s), and keywords, all displayed at the top of the page. Kindly refer to the provided formatting and submission guidelines below.

  • Language Requirement: Abstracts must be written in English.

  • Word Count: Abstracts must contain a minimum of 350 words and a maximum of 500 words.

  • Title Format: The title must be in the Title Case, written in Calibri, bold, size 14, and left-aligned.

  • Authors' Names: Separate authors' names with semicolons. Immediately after each author's name, insert a superscript reference number corresponding to the work institution mentioned in the following lines. Use the same reference number for authors from the same institution.

  • Corresponding Author: In the corresponding author line, only the email address(es) should be provided. If there are multiple corresponding authors, separate their emails with commas.

  • Abstract Body Format: The abstract body text should be a concise summary of the research, written in Calibri, bold, size 12, and justified alignment.

  • Paragraph Spacing: Paragraph spacing must be set at 6 pt. with single-line spacing.

  • Content Structure:

    • a) Introduction: Begin with a brief introduction to the topic.
    • b) Research Question/Objectives: Follow with a clear statement of the research question or objectives.
    • c) Methods: Describe the methods briefly, including any key techniques or approaches used.
    • d) Findings/Results: Present the main findings of the study, along with any important results or conclusions.
    • e) Significance/Implications: End with a statement about the significance or implications of the findings.
  • Keywords: Include at least three relevant keywords.

  • Submission: Abstracts must be submitted through the online system provided at https://thaigroundwatersymposium.org

Submission guidelines

  • 1. Click on Login and on ‘New User? Click here’.

  • 2. Enter your email address, password, first name, last name, affiliation, country.

  • 3. Click on ‘Abstracts Submissions’ and subsequently on ‘New Abstract’.

  • 4. Enter your abstract title (max 30 words).

  • 5. Indicate the presentation format: poster or oral.

  • ​​​​6. Select your topic from the proposed list.

  • 7. If applicable, enter the full name and affiliation of the abstract co-authors.

  • 8. Enter the abstract body (with a minimum of 350 words, maximum of 500 words.).

  • 9. Indicate whether you will be the presenter. If not, please enter the first name and last name of the presenter.

  • 10. You may click on ‘Save & Continue Later’ in case you are unable to answer mandatory questions or submit your contribution by clicking ‘Save & Submit’.

  • 11. If you have clicked ‘Save & Submit’, you will no longer be able to make changes to your submission.
